The scent from this stunning Clematis armandii almost defies description. It’s a heady mix of almonds, vanilla and honey. Truly unbelievable.
Beautiful, pure white flowers like miniature aeroplane propellers are scattered liberally across the plant which is best trained over an arch or pergola, or above a doorway to get a hit of that scent every time you go through the door.
My plant ‘du jour’.

The plant ‘du jour’ for sure! They are such a wonderful welcoming flower, reminding me that life is good or as my father in-law would say as he took a deep breath in, to the sweet scent “this is living”.
