Bigging Up Begonias

I’ve been very impressed with these trailing Begonia ‘Illumination’ from Thompson & Morgan. They were tiny plugs retailing at £11.00 for 40 plants. The petunias I generally use in baskets are usually going to seed in early August, but these beautiful Begonias are still flowering their socks off. Incidentally, the blousey female flowers grow larger still if the single petalled male flowers are removed as they begin to flower.
