Mike chats to… Tom Hart Dyke

In 2000, modern day plant hunter, Tom Hart Dyke attempted to cross one of the world’s most hostile terrains, the Darien Gap, between Panama and Columbo. He was on a plant hunting mission to track down rare and unseen orchids.

Just six days into their crossing, Tom and his travelling companion, Paul Winder, were kidnapped at gunpoint and held hostage for nine months, under the constant threat of execution.

On Tuesday, 13 October, 7pm (GMT), I talk to Tom LIVE about his horrific ordeal, plant hunting and his magnificent ‘World Garden’ in Lullingstone, Kent and much more.

Join us LIVE on Instagram (@mikepalmer01) to hear all about Tom’s amazing story.

Mike met Tom recently at ‘The World Garden’ in Lullingstone, Kent.
